Miranda Hart will return to television screens for a new series of Celebrity Traitors in a matter of weeks
Miranda Hart’s former Call the Midwife co-star has revealed what she is really like behind closed doors as she returns to television screens.
The actress and comedian, also famed for her Miranda series, is set to appear on the upcoming second series of Celebrity Traitors, appearing alongside other familiar faces such as Bella Ramsey and James Blunt.
Once again, 21 presenters, comedians, actors and musicians will try their hand at being good Traitors and Faithfuls in the show, which will air in a matter of weeks. Host Claudia Winkleman will once again return to the helm as the players try to bag £100,000 for a charity of their choice in a game of deceit and lies.
Ahead of the new release, Miranda Hart’s former co star has now opened up about what she is really like behind closed doors as she is tipped for huge success on the hit BBC show.
George Rainsford, who played Jimmy Wilson in Call the Midwife from 2012 until 2013, starred alongside Miranda, who was famed for portraying the much-loved Camilla ‘Chummy’ Fortescue-Cholmondeley-Browne in the BBC drama between 2012 and 2015.
Speaking exclusively to Betway, George predicted Miranda’s Celebrity Traitors success, saying: “I think Miranda could do really well. It’s been a long time since we interacted, but I remember her being fiercely intelligent and quite perceptive.
“I can imagine her keeping herself to herself and observing quite well. I’ve no idea, though. I’m a massive Traitors fan. I absolutely love the show, so I saw the trailer the other day, and it was really exciting. It’s got an amazing mix of characters.”
Speaking about Miranda’s humour, he added: “Miranda Hart was as funny as you’d want her to be. She was great, but beyond that she was really nice to chat to. I remember we had to share a car a few times.
“For those scenes where we were having a Sunday dinner, the director definitely trusted Miranda with coming up with an awkward joke or a funny moment. Miranda was able to bring it straight away. I loved working with her.”
An official release date has yet to be confirmed for series two of Celebrity Traitors, but excitement is continuing to mount with a first look trailer being released. Rumours are circulating that the show could return in early October as viewers await official news from the broadcaster.
Fans of the show are excited to see Miranda Hart back on screens as one person commented on the recent trailer: “Miranda Hart let’s go!!!!” Another replied: “Miranda is back on my screen, life is good.”
One Instagram, one excited fan wrote: “Oh this is going to be soooo good!!!! Can’t wait to see how Miranda does this! Ahhhhh”, as another added: “I’m thrilled to see Miranda in the line up! It’s going to be so good!”
