I write deals for a living, to put it bluntly, I find the offers across favourite devices -from speakers to tablets, smartwatches, and phones – offering ways to cut the cost on otherwise pricey devices. As Amazon kicks off its Prime Day sale, I’ve found a way to beat its new deals.
The Echo Dot is arguably one of the most popular smart-home speakers – it’d be tricky to walk into a house and not find a variation of these in a home office, the kitchen or the living room. Now £29.99 in the sale, it’s already a huge £50.99 cheaper than the usual price, but there’s another way to cut it down.
Shopping through the site TopCashback effectively drops the vibrant Echo Dot from its £29.99 sale price to below £15. Consumers get paid a proportion of money back when shopping through its links.
So, how does it work?
When creating an account and spending £15 or more, new members will receive a £15 bonus, as well as cashback on Amazon devices, including the Echo Dot, Fire TV Sticks and even Kindles.
By doing this, the Echo Dot (newest gen) works out to be £14.37 after cashback, for new members. That’s a £55.42 saving compared to Amazon’s original price.

It’s worth noting this offer is exclusively available to new TopCashback members, as existing members will pay £29.37 after cashback, so it’s only a couple of pennies cheaper than the sale. Both cashback options include free standard delivery.
Features of the newest Echo Dot and why it’s worth buying
This is the newest version of the model, launched back in October 2025, so it has the most up-to-date features. Amazon made a lot of tweaks which have a noticeable impact on quality.
The audio is clearer than in previous generations, and music fans will benefit from clearer sound and a deeper bass. If I had to be picky, though, it’s not as powerful as the Echo Dot Max. As the name would suggest, it has a boosted chip for quicker speeds and users will find its voice-activated conversation more in-depth.
This is the first base Echo Dot model to have a temperature sensor, essentially users can use the smart-speaker to keep their rooms at optimal warmth.
The device uses a built-in thermometer to measure it, and users can get updates by simply asking Alexa – just like they would to switch a song or check the weather.
A well-known rival to the Echo Dot is Apple’s HomePod Mini – they even have similar shapes. It’s worth noting that Apple does have a one-up when it comes to bass, and iPhone users will find it more seamless to sync. For Apple users, the ecosystem is a breeze, but it has a smaller selection of usable apps and connectivity compared to Amazon’s wide range.
Fire TV Sticks and Kindles are cheaper than the Prime Day sale
As I mentioned above, knocking the sale price of the Echo Dot isn’t the only option. This savvy deal stack can also be used on other Amazon devices.
The newest generation of the flagship streaming device, the Fire Stick HD, is reduced from £59.99 to £19.99, but it effectively drops to £4.57 for new members of TopCashback. Again, this price includes delivery, and existing TopCashback members will pay less – £19.57 after cashback, to be precise.
Fire TV Sticks are popular for their ability to make a bog-standard TV perform like a smart TV, as they bundle streaming apps to the TV’s interface, but they aren’t the only product.
The Roku HD Streaming Stick is a well-known rival; it supports similar TV apps and content but is more expensive at £29.99 – however, it can also be bought using TopCashback’s deal stack.
This provides access to comparable apps and content as Amazon’s offering, but is currently more pricey at £29.99. Using the deals site is also beneficial for more expensive purchases.
