After announcing her break from the spotlight, Ariana Grande is quietly taking some time for herself in Los Angeles with her boyfriend Ricky Alvarez.
“Ariana is doing great,” a source exclusively shared with Page Six. “She’s in an amazing place. She’s really happy.”
The source added she’s “laying low” in LA and “enjoying her downtime.”
“Ricky’s family is there and she loves Halloween things, so she’s getting into the season,” we’re told.
The couple was last spotted out on Sept. 24 at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights.
According to TMZ, the pair attempted to go incognito, with Grande in a baseball cap, but were seen kissing at a table in a VIP section.
Grande, 33, and Alvarez, 35, rekindled their romance this past summer after breaking up 10 years ago in 2016.
Alvarez, who used to dance professionally for Grande, was photographed sporadically on Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine” tour which wrapped up in London in September in London. Prior to her 10 date stop overseas, Grande played 41 dates throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The “Dangerous Woman” singer has been on the go for the last few years.
After starring in the silver screen adaptation of “Wicked” as Glinda in 2024, Grande was seen on a world press tour the same year and again for the sequel in 2025. Shortly after, she began rehearsals for her tour to promote her album.
As the tour got underway, fans began commenting on Grande’s thin appearance, prompting her to speak out and announce she would be taking some time away from the public eye.
“Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour,” a rep for the Grammy Award winner shared with People.
“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.”
This past July, Grande announced she was dropping out of Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story” Season 13 due to scheduling conflicts.
A few weeks later, Grande announced she’d be stepping away from her commitments to the West End revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Sunday in the Park with George” alongside Jonathan Bailey. She was set to take the stage in the summer of 2027.
The break seems to be just what the pop star needed.
As the release of “Focker-In-Law” — the fourth installment of the “Meet the Parents” films — draws near this November, Page Six has learned Grande is planning on getting back to work to promote her latest project.
“She is planning on doing press for ‘Focker-In-Law’ and supporting the film this fall,” our source confirmed.
In the movie, Grande stars as Henry Focker’s girlfriend, Olivia Jones. When he announces he plans on proposing, his father Greg (Ben Stiller), played becomes quite skeptical of Grande’s character. Robert DeNiro, Blythe Danner, Owen Wilson, Teri Polo and Beanie Feldstein are also in the film out Thanksgiving weekend.
