Searchlight Pictures has released a new trailer for writer-director Martin McDonagh’s (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, The Banshees of Inisherin) 1970s-set dark comedy Wild Horse Nine.
John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell stars as CIA agents Chris and Lee, who are sent on a mission to Easter Island where they find their bond and loyalty tested when Chris becomes friendly with a couple of rebellious young students.
Joining Malkovich and Rockwell in the cast is Steve Buscemi, Mariana di Girolamo, Ailín Salas, Tom Waits, and Parker Posey. Watch the trailer below…
Shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are dispatched from Santiago to Easter Island by their bureau chief, MJ (Steve Buscemi). Amongst the Island’s iconic statues, and as the longtime partners wrestle with their dark pasts and present conspiracies, Chris’s newfound bond with a pair of rebellious students (Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas) threatens to send everyone’s trip to this remote paradise sideways.
Wild Horse Nine arrives in theatres on November 6th.
