Lena revealed the exciting news in a new essay for Vogue, opening up about her longtime dream of becoming a mother and the path that ultimately led her and Luis to surrogacy.
Lena previously underwent a hysterectomy at the age of 31 after years of dealing with endometriosis and chronic pain. At the time, she wrote about grieving the possibility of carrying a child herself while also considering other ways of becoming a parent.
More recently, Lena revealed that she and Luis were in the process of trying to expand their family.
The couple has now welcomed a daughter via surrogate, marking Lena‘s first child.

Lena and Luis, a musician, first met in 2021 and their relationship moved quickly. They moved in together just months after they started dating and tied the knot in September of that year.
Earlier this year, Lena opened up about the beginning of their relationship and revealed the sweet reason she was immediately drawn to her future husband.
