Nobody Wants This Season 3 Release Date, First-Look Photos — Netflix Comedy

Mark your calendars, “Nobody Wants This” fans: Joanne and Noah will take their next big step this fall.

Season 3 of the Kristen Bell/Adam Brody rom-com will premiere Thursday, October 22, on Netflix, TVLine has learned. The streamer also released a first batch of photos and teaser art from the show’s return.

So, what awaits Joanne, Noah, and the rest of their mishpocha? Netflix’s official Season 3 synopsis reads: “That ‘first time’ feeling, all over again. After recommitting to each other at the end of last season, Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody) are moving into a home — and a relationship — that finally feels solid, embracing every exciting ‘first’ that comes with building their life together. Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Esther (Jackie Tohn) are thrust back into the dating world, whether they like it or not, stumbling through all the awkwardness (and unexpected thrill) of getting to know someone new, right as Morgan (Justine Lupe) takes her career to the next level, on her way to becoming an (almost) media sensation. Meanwhile, Sasha and Morgan have been circling something neither of them has been able to admit to.”

How Did Nobody Wants This Season 2 End?

“Nobody Wants This” Season 2 ended with major developments for all three couples. Sasha and Esther’s marriage reached its breaking point, with Esther telling her husband that their relationship wasn’t working and that she couldn’t work on herself if they stayed together. Morgan, meanwhile, called off her engagement to Dr. Andy — leaving both her and Sasha single as Season 3 prepares to explore whatever they’ve been “circling.”

When TVLine asked Lupe about Morgan and Sasha’s future following the finale, she remained coy.

“There’s a genuine, platonic, satisfying friendship,” Lupe said. “That said, who knows where it’ll evolve. Maybe it’s a buddy-comedy dynamic, maybe something else.”

As for Joanne and Noah, Season 2 saw the couple table their discussion about Joanne converting to Judaism. But after Noah left his temple in search of a more inclusive community, their differing timelines tested their relationship like never before.

Joanne’s understanding of faith — and of herself — ultimately evolved in the finale, when a conversation with Esther sparked what Bell described to TVLine as a “lightbulb moment.”

“What Esther says to her on that couch — ‘You have all these Jewish qualities already; you’re not changing at all’ — lets Joanne completely reformulate what that identity would look like,” Bell explained.

Who’s In the Nobody Wants This Season 3 Cast?

Returning for Season 3 are Bell, Brody, Lupe, Simons, Tohn, Shiloh Bearman (Miriam), Sherry Cola (Ashley), Stephanie Faracy (Lynn), Michael Hitchcock (Henry), Paul Ben-Victor (Ilan), and Tovah Feldshuh (Bina).

Andrew Rannells (“Girls”) and Keyla Monterroso Mejia (“The Studio”) will recur as Joanne’s conversion classmates Sebastien and Amber, respectively, while comedian Sarah Silverman will play their Intro to Judaism teacher, Rabbi Eden.

Also guest-starring are Avan Jogia (“56 Days”), Poorna Jagannathan (“Never Have I Ever”), Sadie Sandler (“Happy Gilmore 2”), Stephanie Koenig (“English Teacher”), Steven Weber (“Chicago Med”), and series creator Erin Foster.
