Parandur Shelved, CM Vijay Begins Search For New Airport Site: 2 Locations In Contention, Say Sources

After dropping the Parandur project, a flagship infrastructural push by the previous DMK government in Tamil Nadu, the TVK establishment under Chief Minister Vijay has zeroed in on Cheyyur, which is located in the Chengalpattu district and Gummidipoondi in the Thiruvallur district, say sources. Both contending areas are in neighbouring localities to Chennai.
