Exercising made easy as Yosuda delivers a robust product that lets you cycle while you sit
I think I spend most of my life trying to be enthusiastic about exercise – and failing. It’s usually the actual leaving the house and going to the gym that is the problem, motivation levels after work just not being that great.
Thankfully for me, the fitness world is getting smarter and more convenient for lazy people like me.
This mini-exercise bike is an extremely straightforward but very clever bit of kit.
Assembling the unit was really easy, a quick follow of the instructions, and it was a step-by-step setup lasting about 5 minutes.
It’s quite a heavy unit, but most importantly, it is robust yet compact and easy to move around.
It comes with a non-slip mat for any surface, so you can use it on a shiny wooden floor. My only gripe so far is that I felt like the mat could still move about a bit, depending on the angle and intensity. For example, when I was pushing against it at an angle, there was more movement than when I was sitting and pushing downwards.
So, what do I love about this? Well, it turns out quite a lot. I genuinely think that the flexibility of moving it around to underneath a desk or next to an armchair is a bit of a game-changer.
It means that you can give your legs a workout wherever you are sitting. Be careful to clear your desk with your knees, though. I took a hefty bang when getting a bit carried away.
A quick adjustment of my chair, and I was back on track, pedalling as I worked on a spreadsheet.
The magic is that you can take things at whatever pace you want, whether for a low-cardio workout or something a bit more frenetic.
It has a 16-level smooth, silent magnetic resistance system, which gives you plenty of room to adjust settings to your needs. That flexibility makes it suitable for all walks of life, young and old.
There are also resistance bands included that attach to the base unit, allowing you to perform upper-body exercises at the same time.
One thing that really impressed me was how smooth and quiet it was; it didn’t feel like a clunky piece of fitness equipment, and the noise levels certainly wouldn’t stop you from watching TV at the same time
Keeping track of your activity is also possible thanks to the built-in LCD screen with Bluetooth connectivity to the accompanying app. This provides coaching, performance reports, and helps with goals.
The build quality and performance are impressive, but for me, it was my first time trying an exercise product for use at a desk, and it impressed me.

What users say
“The mat is not nonslip; the item just moves everywhere as you use it. I’ve only had it for a week, and the foot pedal has also come off with light use!”
“Great piece of kit. Really quiet, with great variation in resistance. Connects to mobile apps to add some variety to the exercise. Tends to move a bit at really high resistance levels, but I’m happy at around 8 to 9. Ideal for setting up in front of the sofa and pedalling away while watching TV.”
