Homeowners looking to transform their living spaces in time for autumn should look no further than Dunelm. And the retailer has launched a new special buy this month which shoppers have described as ‘pretty as well as practical’.
The Pumpkin Velvet Footstool is one of Dunelm’s ‘special buys’ this month and is available for £39. It also comes in two autumnal colours – orange umber and navy.
The modern footstool is crafted with ‘luxurious velvet fabric’ and Dunelm states it will ‘bring warmth and personality to any room’. While the unique pumpkin shape ‘adds a touch of whimsy and charm’.

The Pumpkin Velvet Footstool currently has a 4.8-star rating on Dunelm’s website at the time of writing. Sarah said: “The footstool is comfortable, firm, velvety soft fabric and the right height for my sofa and armchair. It’s so good, I went straight out and bought another one so my guests can also put their feet up. Very good price as well.”
A second customer posted: “It’s very pretty as well as practical. A real value for money item without breaking the bank. Extremely firm so it won’t be dipping or sagging.”

However, one shopper wrote: “Disappointed because I bought this in orange to match the decor in the living room, but it looks more maroon/red.”
Christopher added: “We absolutely love this footstool! It’s such a lovely addition to the room, and we use it every day. It’s velvet, so we sprayed it with furniture protector to help keep it looking its best. It does pick up quite a lot of fluff if you have pets, but we’re not bothered by this as it’s nothing a lint roller can’t sort out. Really happy with it and would definitely recommend!”
