Bollywood actor Rajesh Sharma made headlines in July after he fell critically ill while shooting in Hyderabad. At the time, reports widely claimed that he had been bitten by an insect while shooting for Prabhas’ “Fauji” at Ramoji Film City.
Some reports even raised questions about the safety and professionalism of the “Fauji” team, while others blamed Ramoji Film City for allegedly failing to provide a clean and safe environment for the shoot.
Now, speaking to NDTV, Rajesh Sharma has dismissed those reports and clarified what actually happened. He said nothing happened on the sets of “Fauji” and neither the film’s team nor Ramoji Film City was responsible for his health scare.
According to Sharma, he had been suffering from a skin problem on his right leg for a long time. His condition worsened because his blood sugar levels were very high. After returning to Kolkata, the problem became severe and eventually led to his hospitalisation.
Sharma also clarified that the reports about an insect bite were false. He said Prabhas and the entire “Fauji” team are nice people and that it would be wrong to blame them for what happened.
The actor has since been discharged and said that his treatment is over and he is recovering well. He is hopeful of returning to work soon.
