And it seems as though Raye might have to wait a little longer in her search for love.
Breaking her silence on speculation she’s dating actor Michael B Jordan, the singer has told fans the pair are ‘just friends’.
She sparked rumours she was enjoying a romance with the actor when they were spotted enjoying a day out together at the Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park in California in August.
Video and photos shared by fans showed the two on rides together, leading to relationship rumours but Raye, 28, is adamant that she and Michael, 39, simply share a love of theme parks.
Speaking at the 2026 MTV VMAs in Los Angeles on Sunday, she said: ‘We’re just friends who like roller coasters.’
The singer explained she’s been working on a professional project with the Sinners star but she’s been sworn to secrecy.
‘I’m technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble,’ she teased during the interview with Extra.

Recent reports suggested Raye is working on a soundtrack for a movie Michael is involved in, and they were enjoying some downtime at the theme park.
It’s not yet known which film the British singer is contributing music to, but Michael has a packed slate.
He’s attached to a remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, Rainbow Six, and the upcoming Miami Vice ’85 alongside Austin Butler.
His production company, Outlier Society, is also developing Methuselah, I Am Legend 2 and Creed 4.
Michael’s last public relationship was with model and actress Lori Harvey, which ended four years ago. Meanwhile, Raye has been unofficially linked to Drake and Lewis Hamilton.
Earlier this year, the singer shared a very public tribute to her past heartbreak in a hilarious TikTok video.
The Where Is My Husband singer posted a clip of herself showing off a blue plaque at The Nightingale pub on Nightingale Lane in south London.
The blue plaque, traditionally installed on buildings in the UK to commemorate a connection between that location and a famous person, reads ‘RAYE experienced the greatest heartbreak she has ever known here 27 February 2019’.

The video shows the laughing star, clad in a fur coat and carrying a Chanel bag, clutching a pint of beer as she points out the sign, with the caption reading: ‘put a nice plaque on my ex’s fav pub so he’ll never forget’.
She added it is ‘my dramatic era #cheers’ and soundtracked the video with a snippet of her new song.
Raye’s recent single Nightingale Lane, from her latest album This Music May Contain Hope, is an ode to the Tooting street near where she grew up, with the intro declaring: ‘This is a song about the greatest heartbreak I have ever known.’
The chorus flows into the pain of saying goodbye to her ‘first love’ as Raye sings: ‘It was right there, in June, next to Old Park Avenue, standing in the rain, I watched him walk away.’
Raye hasn’t named the ‘first love’ and is known for keeping her love life private.
But in her September 2025 cover story with Vogue she made some rare comments about the heartbreak, admitting that since that relationship ended she has been ‘single for so long’.
‘My last devastating break-up was four, five years ago. I was like, “I’m gonna marry him”,’ she admitted.
‘We was together for two years and it ended up not working out. I have never experienced a more crippling emotion.
‘It took me three, four years to get over him. Like, I can’t allow myself to fall in love again until it’s safe.’
When it comes to any potential suitors, Raye said what she looks for in a man has ‘changed significantly over the years’.
She has also vowed not to release another record until she meets the love of her life, explaining that whilst she has ideas for an album to follow This Music May Contain Hope, fans will have to wait until her personal life is settled before she works on the concept.
She told The Times newspaper: ‘My third album, I think I’ve named it already. It’s going to be called And Then She Fell in Love.
‘And I’m not writing a single song – be it one year, five years, ten years – until that chapter of my life begins.’
