NYC duo Sex Week have shared their new single ‘Life Is A Circle’.
The much-tipped duo seem to rip up the rulebook with each release, while also somehow stamping out a very individual, deeply recognisable identity.
The band touch down in London at Brixton’s Club Cheek on November 10th, and new single ‘Life Is A Circle’ is out now.
Starting as a kind of meta-hoedown, ‘Life Is A Circle’ dissolves into a riot of influences, a kind of punk-like disregard for the norm.
Recently touring with Mitski and Fcukers – references that further underline their creative breadth, the new single taps into Sex Week’s lawless energy.
“‘Life is a Circle’ feels like the cornerstone of our musical palette,” says the band’s Pearl Amanda Dickson. Co-conspirator Richard Orofino adds: “It was cathartic to make. Just adding these little wooden recorders, accordions and 808s, just not caring about anything other than what we wanted to hear.”
Tune in now.
