- Sutton Coldfield’s Gracechurch Centre is set for a major transformation with new food outlets and leisure venues opening before the end of the year.
- Coun David Pears confirmed that a new Tesco convenience store will replace the current Ryman’s stationers and Toys 4 You shop. The climbing wall centre Clip ‘n Climb is expected to open in the former Bodyshop unit.
- “On the sports front the bowling facility will be open by Christmas and the new padel board courts in Spring 2027,” Coun Pears said.
- The bowling alley will occupy the former Argos unit, whilst padel courts will be built at the top of the centre’s car park.
- Plantsbrook House is being converted into 25 flats, marking the first residential development at the site.
- Ross Symonov from co-owner SAV Group confirmed the strategy shift, saying “our strategy is entertainment” rather than retail. He expects to close five to six deals within the next six months.
