Families can save on school holiday getaways in search of autumn warmth in Spain, Greece, Turkey and more with prices starting from £254 per person
Summer may have come to an end, but those already missing the sunshine can still find it abroad. And for families tempted to escape the chilly autumn weather in favour of warmer climes, there are plenty of package holiday deals to choose from with TUI slashing prices on trips from Bristol Airport.
The tourism giant is offering up to £400 off family breaks over October half term, from sun-soaked beach getaways in holiday hotspots across Spain, Greece and Turkey to entertaining city breaks in the likes of Budapest, Prague and Bordeaux. And with return flights, transfers and accommodation included, plus the option to upgrade to breakfast, half board or all inclusive at eligible hotels, there’s little planning needed so parents can enjoy a stress-free escape – or as stress-free as it gets when travelling with kids in tow, at least.
For those seeking a budget-friendly beach holiday, one of the cheapest TUI package holidays is a five-night stay at the Joya Hotel in Benidorm on Spain’s Costa Blanca from Sunday, October 25, now priced at £342 per person (including mandatory fees and taxes) based on a group of two adults and two children. Located less than 1km from the beach and a short walk from Benidorm’s historic Old Town as well as several of the city’s picturesque parks, visitors of all ages certainly won’t be stuck for things to do on this getaway.

Meanwhile, families fancying a city break can head to Prague for five nights at the Alveo Suites with a late-night flight on Friday, October 23 to go straight from school and work into holiday mode. On offer for £299 per person (incl. mandatory fees and taxes), this break to the Czech Republic capital lies right at the heart of the city for easy access to must-see landmarks such as Wenceslas Square, the Astronomical Clock, and Charles Bridge.
There are plenty more city break packages from Bristol, with another of the cheapest options being the Stay Inn Hotel in Gdansk, Poland, priced from £343 per person for a five-night stay from October 26. Or families can jet off to France for a getaway at the Residhotel Galerie Tatry in Bordeaux, France, priced from £309 per person for five nights from October 25.
Book an October half term getaway

There are more than 3,000 holidays to choose from with return flights from Bristol Airport throughout October half term.
And for holidaymakers wanting to treat themselves to a luxury getaway, one of the top-rated package holidays from Bristol Airport is the TUI BLUE Palm Garden package in Manavgat, Turkey. Jetting off on Saturday, October 24 for a seven-night break, this break is at the expensive end at £1,129 per person (incl. mandatory fees and taxes), but offers four-star luxury with the hotel home to a pool with slides, three restaurants and four bars, as well as boasting a beachside location with temperatures in the region averaging 26C in October.
It’s important to note that while listed prices are correct at the time of writing, TUI updates its deals multiple times per day, so prices may adjust depending on when holidaymakers make their booking. In addition, TUI customers should be aware that the holiday provider now shows the total price for its package holidays upfront, including all mandatory fees and taxes which may have previously been displayed at a later stage, so while some prices may appear higher than they have previously, the total amount payable has not changed.
All TUI package holidays are ABTA and ATOL protected. For more package holiday deals, easyJet and Jet2 are among those offering thousands more options with flights from Bristol Airport; easyJet prices start from £237 per person with more than 7,000 packages, while Jet2 customers can book trips from Bristol to more than 40 destinations abroad, with new additions including the Dordogne region in France as of summer 2026 and Jersey from summer 2027.
Another option for those seeking a fuss-free package holiday is a cruise, with Fred. Olsen offering over 50 trips setting sail less than two hours’ drive away from Bristol in Southampton. Late autumn getaways include a 14-night Autumn Warmth in the Canary Islands trip priced from £2,499 per person, and an In Search of the Northern Lights adventure in November journeying into the Arctic.
Meanwhile, TUI has earned an ‘Excellent’ rating of 4.6 out of five stars on Trustpilot, based on more than 200,000 reviews from customers. One person praised in a recent review: “Very helpful staff, saved me money on the cost of a holiday. Overall a great experience.”
Another customer fed back: “Highly recommend TUI. From our first experience till our return we were so looked after. Airport, flight, and holiday rep were all first class and they work so hard to make your holiday so special. We are now looking to book another TUI holiday based on this experience.”
And a third echoed: “I always use TUI as they go above and beyond to help find the right type of holiday I am looking for. I can honestly say it’s not that they have to, but that they want to make sure everyone is happy.”
However, one reviewer thought that the flight times could be more convenient, remarking: “I do not want to go on holiday and arrive back in a UK airport at 2am or 3am. Last year we could not find an acceptable flight to Turkey.”
TUI responded: “Our flight schedules are influenced by a number of factors, including airport slot availability and operational requirements, and unfortunately this can mean that some routes have less desirable departure or arrival times than customers would prefer.”
A different customer thought that optional seating upgrades offered by airlines at an additional charge should be included in the price of their holiday, commenting: “As a family of five, when we have already spent a lot on flights and accommodation, I don’t feel its appropriate to be charging £18 per seat (each way) to ensure we sit next to each other.”
Meanwhile, someone else said in a five-star review: “It was both easy and quick to book. We were able to to choose from many options and pick a package that seemed right for us.”
