Hundreds of protestors reportedly blocked the Yamuna Expressway in Agra on Sunday, demanding rollback of the UGC (Promotion of Equity in Higher Education Institutions) Regulations, 2026. The UGC (Promotion of Equity in Higher Education Institutions) Regulations, 2026 are currently stayed by the Supreme Court of India, which has ordered the older 2012 equity regulations to remain in force.
