‘Grisly and violent pasts created a breeding ground for extremely negative energy,’ the ‘Ghost Adventures’ host said.

Ghost Adventures is back, just in time for spooky season.

The Discovery Channel reality series returns for its 31st season on September 30. Host Zak Bagans says it is one of the show’s most unsettling and sinister outings yet.

In the all-new episodes Bagans and his team – Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley, and Billy Tolley – explore abandoned frontier towns, centuries-old landmarks, and historic estates as they delve into the shadows of America’s past.

The ‘Ghost Adventures’ crew investigates a Vegas warehouse with disturbing mob ties in the season 31 premiere

In the season premiere, the crew try to separate fact from fiction as they investigate strange activity inside a sprawling Las Vegas warehouse. Now operating as a horror-themed escape room, the site’s dark and sinister mob history has left behind a foreboding aura of violence and fear.

“Something is here and it seems like it’s very aware of us,” Bagans says in the trailer.

“Whatever is here has eyes and ears,” he adds. “A human spirit or spirits that were a victim of some crime that we can’t pinpoint because we just don’t know. We can just speculate. How do we get validation from speculation? When we investigate.”

Bagans is convinced that with a little effort, he and his crew can draw out the spirits.

“I have a very good feeling that whatever is here can’t wait to be heard,” he says.

Paranormal reality show investigates a home plagued by demonic activity and an estate haunted by nuns

In other episodes, the team explores a home in Oregon that is plagued by demonic activity linked to the land’s dark past; a notorious frontier town in Utah with a violent history; an abandoned Nevada mining settlement that has visitors fleeing in terror; a sprawling California estate where spectral nuns terrorize staff; and an eerie Nevada street lined with relocated old homes whose dark energy has traveled with them.

“These investigations pushed us into some of the darkest and most challenging environments we have ever faced,” said Bagans. “Grisly and violent pasts created a breeding ground for extremely negative energy that was incredibly disturbing and unpredictable. The evidence we captured and activity we encountered was far more sinister and intense than anything we had expected.”

Ghost Adventures premieres Wednesday, September 30 at 10PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel. Episodes stream the next day on discovery+ and HBO Max.
