Surprise! Kenny Loggins is a married man!
The 78-year-old “Footloose” singer has announced that he and longtime girlfriend Lisa Hawkins secretly eloped in Hawaii.
Kenny shared the exciting news during a screening of his documentary, Kenny Loggins Conviction of the Heart, on Thursday (September 17) at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.
While discussing the editing of the doc during a Q&A at the screening, Kenny took a moment to give Lisa a special shout-out, saying, “I want to take a moment and acknowledge my wife, Lisa,” per People.
The documentary featured a photo of longtime couple after they secretly eloped in Hawaii.
How long have Kenny Loggins and Lisa Hawkins been together?
During an interview with AARP back in March 2023, Kenny first went public with his relationship with Lisa. At the time, he revealed that they had been already been together for five years.
In the interview, Kenny said that he was taking time off from work to spend more time with Lisa and his family.
“?It’s a good time to call it quits. Lisa and I have been together [for] five years,” the Grammy winner said. “I want to put more time into that — and not lose that. And spend more time with my grandchildren.”
Kenny and Lisa both have children from past relationships
Kenny has been married twice before: first to Eva Ein from 1978 to 1990 then to Julia Cooper from 1992 to 2004.
With Eva, he shares three kids: Crosby, born in 1980, Cody, born in 1983, and Lou, born in 1988. He and Julia share two children: Lukas, born in 1993 and Hana, born in 1997.
Lisa is also mom to daughter Hunter Hawkins, 25, who is musician.
During the Q&A at his screening, Kenny said that his “joy right now creatively” has been working with Hunter on songs.
“[Hunter’s] amazing. And we perform together a lot,” Kenny said. “She covers all the high notes for me now. And being in the studio with her and working out new ideas is the most fun I’m having right now.”
