North recently took a major step in her musical career, and her parents were there to support her. According to Page Six, the 13-year-old performed at The Vic Theatre in Chicago on Saturday. It marked the first time that the teenager headlined a show solo.

Both Kardashian and West came to the venue to support their daughter but remained at two different ends of the venue. Clips of the proud parents went viral on social media featuring West and Kardashian. In one video, the rapper could be seen recording his daughter taking the stage from a balcony. Meanwhile, the SKIMS founder was also attentively listening to North and dancing on a parallel balcony.
Several social media users reacted to the former couple keeping their distance from each other and yet co-parenting their daughter. An X user wrote, “Them being on opposite sides is lame lol.” Another user penned, “This union of the Kardashian-West family to support North is pretty necessary.” “Oh man, it must be so tough for her too to watch her parents each on their own side,” a third X user commented.
West and Kardashian were married from 2014 until their divorce was finalized in 2022. They knew each other for nearly a decade before they began publicly dating in 2012. The former couple shares four children, including North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
North’s solo concert came weeks after she canceled her first headlining tour with Molly Santana. She was set to go on tour on August 5 and perform on different stages until August 17 in Canada.
However, this was not the teenager’s first stage performance, as she has often made her fans groove and even accompanied her famous father. During her solo headlining show, she performed several tracks from her debut EP. She also reportedly sang some unreleased songs for her fans in Chicago.
The teenager is vocal about her career and style choices. However, people often blame her parents for causing their daughter distress. According to Radar Online, an insider highlighted the lyrics of North’s track Aishite and said, “North is clearly in a very dark place right now. You only have to listen to her song lyrics to see that.”
The source further argued that people could not dismiss the message in her song as merely “creative writing.” “It’s a blatant cry for help!” they suggested. The insider indicated how Kardashian and West’s publicized divorce affected North. “North may have been spoiled with material objects her whole life, but she’s been to h— and back thanks to her parents.”
