The long-running reality show about a polygamist family will return to TLC with new episodes this fall, one of its stars recently revealed.
Christine Brown says she can’t spill the tea about ‘Sister Wives’ Season 21
“A NEW season of Sister Wives is coming this fall!!” Christine Brown shared on Instagram on September 6.
“There’s a lot of secrets on this next season of Sister Wives,” she said in an accompanying video. “I would spill the tea for you, but I’m totally bound by a contract. You’re going to be pretty dang surprised.”
Christine, who was married to Kody Brown until 2021, also encouraged her followers to buy one of her “Ex-Sister Wives” T-shirts. People who buy a T-shirt and snap a picture of themselves watching the new episodes while wearing it can also get a free video message from Christine.
TLC has not announced a premiere date for Sister Wives Season 21.
Is it time to cancel ‘Sister Wives’?
In the comments of Christine’s post, fans shared their hopes (and concerns) for the new season.
“Omg please let there be more to this season then 100 episodes of Kody Brown [traipsing] around the country to ‘apologize’ to himself for not being a worse husband,” one wrote.
“I really hope it’s not a season where it’s just separate story lines. There still has to be some interaction between people,” another commented.
Several people said they were only interested in watching more Sister Wives if Kody and his only remaining wife, Robyn Brown, were no longer part of the show.
“I love watching you but I cannot stomach another season of Kody and Sobyn,” one shared, using critics’ nickname for Robyn.
Another said that after 16 years and 20 seasons, it was time to wrap up they story of Kody, Christine, Robyn, Janelle Brown, Meri Brown, and their many children. With the core adults now all living in different parts of the country and having minimal interactions with each other, the show’s drama feels increasingly manufactured.
“Why when you guys won’t even film with each other. It’s become a bore,” one of Christine’s followers pointed out. “What more is there to tell you all moved on….”
“I watched all the seasons and all the episodes but seriously now you guys are just beating a dead horse” another wrote. “Why don’t you all just quietly go on with your lives or at the very least come up with a new spin off.”
