Jack Latham, the UK producer known as Jam City, recently assisted on Logic1000’s single “Jersey,” and he’ll release his own new album My World later this month. We’ve already posted the title track, which featurees Aidan, Bawo and Ox Eye. Yesterday, Jam City followed that track with “2am,” a new collaboration with the London singer-songwriter Gianna.
“2am” is a supremely pretty track that goes through a few different mutations. It starts out sounding like a distant echo of a Euro-house track — just voice and piano flickering in the ether. Then, a couple of times, a thunderous breakbeat kicks in and moves the track into the realm of cosmic trip-hop. Good song! Check out the video below.
